"Marley"
**Marley passed away on August 30th 2017 due to complications with her health. She will be missed dearly**
Marley is the dog that started it all for me. She is my very first border collie and introduction into the breed. I always tell everyone she picked me at 4 weeks old and I never looked back. She has been my guinea pig into dog training and has been SO patient with me as we have learned together. She and I have dabbled in almost everything. I have learned her favorite things EVER are agility, herding, disc, a tennis ball, and if I would let her, chasing bicycles and skateboards. She has an excellent off switch and is content sleeping on the couch all day long until it is time to work. When she works she gives me 110% and tries her best to figure out what I want if she doesn't already know. Everyone always loves Marley. She knows no stranger and is happy to sit on you and bug you for pets. She has been so forgiving of me and my short comings. I got her when I was a sophomore in high school, at the age of 16. Honestly, I had no business getting a dog, especially a border collie! But I do not regret a thing. I am where I am today because of her. Having her introduced me into the dog world and the border collie world. She is the reason I wanted to be a breeder and have more border collies. She is also the reason I am so thorough with health testing and researching pedigrees. I had Marley spayed at 5 months, before I knew the benefits of keeping a dog intact. However, knowing her pedigree and the fact that she came from a color breeder it was for the best. At 6 years old, Marley began having seizures. She is semi-retired pending how she does on her medication to control the seizures. For now, she is my content couch potato and demo dog for any class I teach. She's also Hendryx's best buddy in the WORLD. She is also my best girl and a very willing model for our Instagram page.

DOB: 1-11-11
Passed: 9-30-2017
Hips: OFA GOOD

No other health testing has been done on Marley because she is spayed and will never be bred.
Achievements:
Marley is a proven stock dog and will herd anything you ask. She does well on goats or sheep, but could also excel on cows because she has a hard mouth. She easily earned her herding instinct test and with more training could trail. She earned her CGC when she was 2 years old with no preparation. She and I trialed in Rally together until she earned her Rally Excellent title. She has been instinct tested in Barn Hunt, however she showed very little interest in the sport so we did not continue training. She loves performing and doing tricks and has earned up to her Intermediate Trick Dog title and if I would quit being lazy and just apply for the others she could easily be a champion. She and I spent a few years traveling from one small town festival to the next performing tricks for crowds. She earned several "Most Talented Pet" awards.
